Lay Abstract

People with psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis often have other health problems, such as issues with weight, blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol. These can affect daily life and how well treatment works. However, we do not know if people from different ethnic backgrounds are affected in the same way. This study will use data from large health studies in the UK and US, including over two million people. We will look at how common these conditions are at diagnosis and whether they develop later. The results will help improve care and better support people with psoriatic disease.
